Junior Electrical Engineer – Montevideo

About the role

RedtreeRedtree Engineering, part of CSI's global network, is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support national and international power system projects. The role offers hands‑on experience in design, analysis and execution of medium‑ and high‑voltage electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering scope for national and international projects.
• Prepare one‑line diagrams, electrical schematics, equipment layouts and design documentation under senior supervision.
• Assist in design and specification of substations, transformers, switchgear, grounding and protection systems.
• Conduct electrical studies such as load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, protection coordination and grounding analyses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver constructible engineering solutions.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, drawings and technical records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in electrical engineering (including internships and academic projects).
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Foundational knowledge of electrical power systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
