About the role

The company, a leading industrial firm in Uruguay, is seeking a Head of Supply Chain and Operations to lead its production line, manage the end‑to‑end supply chain and support internal customers across commercial and export functions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan demand, manage inventories of raw materials and finished goods, and serve internal clients from commercial and export departments.
• Lead the operational team of the semi‑automated packaging and labeling line, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with external providers, and evaluate maintenance budgets.
• Monitor the department budget, control inventory variances, prepare ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 audit documentation, and liaise with regulatory bodies for certifications and annual procedures.

Required profile

• Engineering background (Industrial, Chemical, Food, Civil or related); degree completion not mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in supply chain or related functions.
• Proven experience leading teams.
• Proactive mindset focused on root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Own vehicle is required.

• Advanced Excel.
• Inventory management systems.
