IT Network Engineer 2

About the role

A skilled Network Engineer is needed to support network operations, troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement network security measures in a complex organisational environment. The role is part of a global network team that provides support and services mainly during North American business hours, and the candidate will join the new second shift (2pm to 10pm).

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the network team, the IT organisation and the business community.
• Handle support and escalation requests received through support tickets, automated monitoring and user reporting.
• Work outside normal business hours when business needs require it.
• Enforce network and security standards across the infrastructure.
• Provide a positive and professional user experience to internal and external users.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience designing, engineering, configuring and administering routers and switches, firewalls, multi-segment networks and MPLS WANs.
• Bachelor's degree or IT/network-related certifications preferred.
• Fluent in English; candidates must be able to work special shifts and take part in an on-call rotation roughly once every 10 weeks.
• Structured problem solving, strong organisational and time management skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
