Guest Service Officer

About the role

The Guest Service Officer provides friendly, passionate, and committed support to guests aboard a cruise ship. You will actively listen to guest concerns, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records of guest accounts.
• Operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, and copy machines to support daily operations.
• Collaborate with department heads and shipboard staff to negotiate resolutions and improve service standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to ship safety and security protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related hospitality industry.
• At least one year of cash‑handling experience and familiarity with US currency and exchange rates.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to work onboard for a period of 5‑6 months.
