GMP Technician

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned GMP areas in a clean, orderly, and compliant condition. Working on‑site in a regulated environment, the technician follows SOPs, supports shift leads, and ensures safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of GMP‑controlled areas, including walls, floors, windows, and equipment.
• Perform sanitization duties and follow all customer and SBM SOPs.
• Support shift lead with punch‑list items, work orders, and daily logs.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and adhere to gowning procedures.
• Report maintenance issues and participate in shutdown cleaning.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Stop at‑risk behavior and act as a fill‑in during staff shortages.
• Complete required safety, chemical, and task‑specific training certifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Completed safety and task‑training certifications; forklift certification may be required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and compounds.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, manuals, and safety instructions.
• Proficiency in gowning procedures for GMP areas.
• Forklift operation (if certified).
• Chemical safety handling.
