Freelance Peer Reviewer – Bridge & Structural Engineering

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers in bridge and structural engineering to provide high‑quality peer reviews for academic journals and publishers. This freelance position allows you to contribute your expertise remotely while supporting the integrity of scholarly publications.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity, validity, and significance.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection based on your evaluation.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in bridge or structural engineering.
• At least two peer‑review‑ready publications in the last two years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
