Financial Reporting Semi‑Senior Analyst – Fixed‑Term (6‑Month)

About the role

BASF is seeking a proactive Financial Reporting Semi‑Senior Analyst for a fixed‑term, project‑based assignment of at least six months. Based in the Montevideo HUB, you will support North‑American reporting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily and monthly financial reporting activities, gathering data from SAP modules.
• Perform month‑end account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage asset and lease accounting tasks.
• Prepare explanatory notes for quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Identify and drive process improvements and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Participate in local, regional, and global projects, audits, and internal control initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate in Public Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting or related fields.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards is valued.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Advanced Excel, including macros.
• Experience with databases and Power BI.
• SAP knowledge.
• Interest in Visual Basic programming and automation.
