Financial Controller

About the role

Entara is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Financial Controller to manage financial operations for its US offices and limited activities in the UK and Switzerland. The role is hybrid and requires the candidate to be based in Montevideo, Uruguay or Bogotá, Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting integrity and internal controls under US GAAP.
• Manage billing, collections and client receivables.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow reports for US, UK and Swiss entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and the annual budgeting cycle.
• Provide variance analysis, financial forecasts and strategic insights.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline financial processes.
• Oversee internal and external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and support cross‑functional strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP.
• Experience in professional services environment is highly desirable.
