Finance Process Excellence & Training Specialist

About the role

The Finance Process Excellence & Training Specialist will act as the central subject‑matter expert for the General Ledger and Reporting Knowledge Center in Montevideo. You will support the Americas finance teams by governing, executing, and continuously improving the Internal Control System (ICS) framework, ensuring compliance with global standards and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the governance, execution, and enhancement of the Internal Control System across finance operations in the Americas.
• Provide expert guidance on control design, assessment methodologies, documentation standards, and evidence retention.
• Monitor control performance through quality reviews, identify gaps, and drive remediation activities.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for control deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with Global Finance, Knowledge Centers, and National Finance teams to maintain an effective control framework and promote a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Auditing, or a related discipline.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and leadership qualities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Internal Control Systems (ICS) and governance frameworks.
• Experience with risk management practices and financial process controls.
