About the role

Mercado Libre is looking for a specialist to design and implement advanced strategies that prevent digital fraud and account takeover (ATO) across its platform. The role combines data‑driven analysis, security engineering, and cross‑functional collaboration to protect users and enable rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy advanced fraud‑prevention strategies targeting digital fraud and ATO attacks.
• Lead security‑vulnerability assessments of user flows and propose technical solutions.
• Analyze behavior patterns, transaction data, and cyber‑attack trends to continuously improve predictive detection models.
• Collaborate with Technology and Product teams to ensure secure product releases and digital infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor key performance and risk indicators, reporting on the effectiveness of security measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, information security, or digital risk management.
• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with tools for large‑scale data analysis, specifically SQL and Python.
• Strong knowledge of risk‑analysis methodologies and techniques used in identity or digital fraud.
