About the role

The company, a Uruguayan distributor of fast‑moving consumer goods, seeks a professional to lead its Credit and Collections area. The role involves full‑cycle management of credit risk, collections, and cash‑flow forecasting, with direct responsibility for high‑volume and complex accounts such as supermarkets and large retail chains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the credit and collections function and supervise the team.
• Administer and control the portfolio of current accounts.
• Directly manage the most voluminous and complex customers.
• Monitor payment terms, discounts, and discrepancies.
• Evaluate credit requests, set limits, and define credit conditions.
• Identify risk indicators and implement actions to reduce delinquency.
• Prepare reports, performance indicators, and cash‑flow projections.
• Coordinate actions with Commercial, Sales, Logistics, and Administration departments.
• Propose improvements to policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
• Proven experience in credit and collections roles, preferably in a consumer‑goods distribution environment.
• Experience handling a large volume of current accounts and high‑value customers.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate, assess risk, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, with autonomy and result‑orientation.

• Advanced Excel
