Document Controller

About the role

Join Jan De Nul in Montevideo as a Document Controller supporting dredging and marine projects. You will ensure that project documentation flows smoothly, is accurately recorded, and remains fully traceable.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, send, and archive project documentation according to established guidelines.
• Manage contractual and other correspondence, maintaining databases for incoming and outgoing items.
• Facilitate document control processes, prepare and review project documents, and keep filing systems up to date.
• Track subcontractor reports and files, and support internal and external quality audits.
• Provide general administrative support and communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in document control or project administration, preferably in construction, engineering or a marine environment.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a hands‑on attitude.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Resident of Montevideo with legal right to work in Uruguay.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality procedures (a plus).
