Data Governance Analyst

About the role

Blend, an AI services provider, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support the execution of enterprise data governance initiatives. The analyst will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, manage metadata, and ensure governance processes and controls are effectively applied across critical data domains.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of enterprise data governance initiatives and related processes.
• Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Perform data analysis and profiling to identify quality issues and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with metadata management, documenting and maintaining business and technical metadata.
• Validate governance controls and ensure compliance with established policies.
• Document business definitions, data rules, and governance requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support data stewardship activities and contribute to data quality improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into governance documentation.
• Monitor governance activities and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business or a related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or business/data analysis.
• Experience with data governance platforms such as Atlan, Collibra, Alation, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Proven ability to perform data analysis and data profiling.
• Knowledge of metadata management concepts.
