Data Center Technician II

About the role

Google's Hardware Operations team is seeking a Data Center Technician II to install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware and related infrastructure in a data center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure, including servers, racks, networking equipment and related components.
• Diagnose and repair hardware failures, perform component‑level repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux operating systems on servers.
• Disassemble end‑of‑life equipment and replace parts as needed.
• Report issues, follow data‑center procedures, and maintain data security and integrity.

Required profile

• Experience performing component‑level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing operating systems, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lb and perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Uruguay citizenship (required by local labor law).
