Custodial Supervisor

About the role

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing custodial staff to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across assigned facilities. This role involves inspecting work, managing supplies, and guaranteeing compliance with OSHA and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of custodial employees.
• Train staff on tasks, safety policies, and procedures.
• Ensure custodial services meet site needs and maintain required equipment and supplies.
• Conduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections, reporting repairs and deficiencies.
• Evaluate and recommend new custodial supplies and equipment through testing.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify contract service delivery.
• Report personnel, customer issues, accidents, and incidents to management.
• Handle hiring, scheduling, performance coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain employee records, attendance, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience supervising custodial or facilities staff.
• Valid driver’s license (if required).

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA sanitation and safety regulations.
• Experience with custodial equipment testing and evaluation.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards and facility maintenance procedures.
