Corporate Lawyer - Deal Closings and Fund Management

About the role
Kaszek Ventures, Latin America's leading venture capital firm, is expanding its team and hiring a high-potential Corporate Lawyer for its Montevideo offices (Zonamerica). The lawyer works closely with the COO and the legal team on all legal matters related to deal closings and fund management.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate due diligence reports with law firms across Latin America.
- Draft, review and negotiate corporate contracts, including term sheets, financing documents, sale and purchase agreements, tax covenants, investment and shareholder agreements and equity incentive plans.
- Keep track of all transaction documents and follow up on post-closing obligations.
- Provide broad commercial legal advice on new and follow-on investments, divestments and other transactions, and manage the legal risks of the business.
- Support legal matters related to the funds, the Management Company and investments made by Kaszek.
- Provide legal support on ad hoc legal matters.
Required profile
- Law degree.
- 3+ years of professional experience.
- Advanced English, which will be tested.
