Cloud Architect (GCP)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and optimise secure, scalable cloud solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams to drive automation, support CI/CD pipelines and ensure operational excellence across development, QA and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement best‑practice cloud architecture, security, governance, scalability and reliability standards.
• Write and maintain Terraform configurations to manage GCP infrastructure as code.
• Design, document and maintain network topology and service diagrams for all environments.
• Support and optimise CI/CD lifecycle processes and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams to guide cloud implementation strategies and operational initiatives.
• Own assigned cloud environments, ensuring stability, security and performance.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on cloud infrastructure topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with cloud computing, specifically GCP.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services and architecture best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Proven experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (GKE).
• Experience supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Linux administration and networking troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced English proficiency; Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer is a plus.
