Cleaning Assistant (Auxiliar de Limpieza)

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Cleaning Assistant to maintain a safe and hygienic environment in our facilities. The role involves routine cleaning tasks, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting the upkeep of laboratory and office areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean floors, windows, empty trash cans and dust furniture and accessories.
• Clean, restock and maintain supplies in restrooms.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids according to specifications.
• Clean laboratory equipment in a controlled manufacturing environment, including glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, cloths and mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Follow procedures for using cleaning chemicals and powered equipment to prevent damage to floors, surfaces and accessories.
• Monitor facility safety by closing doors at the end of the shift and checking proper use of electrical equipment.
• Report to supervisors any major repairs or improvements needed in building systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
