Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Uruguay

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing Uruguayan agribusiness. The CFO will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management, ensuring compliance with international standards and supporting strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting, management control and financial administration across the company.
• Implement and consolidate full IFRS compliance, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, reporting packages and consolidation processes for the parent company.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and seasonal financing needs.
• Oversee foreign‑exchange exposure and related hedging strategies.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and sensitivity analyses; monitor variances and key performance indicators.
• Serve as the main liaison with external auditors, banks, tax advisors and regulators.
• Provide strategic decision support through profitability, investment and capital‑structure analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls, processes and financial information systems.

Required profile

• Public Accountant degree.
• Proven expertise in full IFRS implementation.
• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
• 8‑10 years of finance experience, including 3‑4 years in senior leadership (Finance Manager, Senior Controller or CFO).
• Strong background in cash‑flow management and management control.
• Experience in export‑oriented or agribusiness companies.
• Willingness to relocate to the interior of Uruguay.
