Backend Developer – Remote (Part‑time)

About the role

Anyone AI is looking for experienced Backend Developers to contribute to a project with a leading AI lab. The role is part‑time, remote and focuses on designing realistic software engineering tasks, including bug fixes, feature implementation, refactoring, and test generation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑file coding tasks covering bug resolution, new features, refactoring, and testing.
• Write clear natural‑language specifications and reference implementations for each task.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites to validate implementations.
• Review peer‑generated tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and provide actionable feedback.

Required profile

• Advanced professional written proficiency in English.
• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi‑file codebases.
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Experience building backend or full‑stack production systems.
