About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Service Assistant to join Cummins' workshop in Canelones, Uruguay. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience supporting technicians in the maintenance of engines and generators, with clear pathways for growth to a full technician role.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technicians with routine maintenance and workshop tasks.
• Prepare tools, parts, and work areas before each job.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and compliance with safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
• Support the reception of units and internal logistics for the service department.
• Learn Cummins processes and record activities in the company system under supervision.

Required profile

• Completed high school education.
• Technical training (UTU, mechanics, electromechanics, automotive) is valued.
• 0–2 years of experience in an automotive, industrial, or related workshop.
• Proactive attitude, organized, and eager to learn.
• Driver’s license is desirable.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance basics.
• Use of standard workshop tools.
• Application of safety equipment and procedures.
