AWS IoT Solutions Architect – Remote

About the role

BairesDev is seeking an experienced AWS IoT Solutions Architect to lead the design and migration of a cloud platform for connected devices. You will evaluate the feasibility of moving from GCP to AWS, define a secure multi‑tier architecture, and ensure the solution can be reused across future product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the current cloud environment and produce a target AWS architecture with a migration recommendation.
• Design an IoT platform on AWS, including MQTT ingestion, device fleet management, and authentication.
• Make build‑vs‑buy decisions for AWS IoT Core, managed authentication services, and third‑party billing.
• Develop a multi‑tier access model supporting various user roles.
• Architect the solution to meet SOC 2 security requirements and act as the client‑facing security expert.
• Ensure the platform is cost‑optimized and reusable for future product lines.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise in AWS and proven experience with IoT platform design.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP‑to‑AWS migrations.
• Background in SOC 2 security architecture and multi‑tenant RBAC/IAM design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
