AR Game Designer – Mobile & WebAR (LATAM)

About the role

We are creating an augmented‑reality entertainment experience that turns horror‑themed tombstones into interactive monster encounters. The AR Game Designer will own the gameplay design, turning the creative concept into short, repeatable AR interactions for both WebAR and native mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define the core gameplay loop for 15‑30 second AR monster encounters.
• Design intuitive camera‑based mechanics, supernatural weapon systems, and monster behaviours.
• Establish progression, scoring, difficulty, rewards, and feedback systems.
• Explore leaderboard and competitive features, and assess multiplayer potential.
• Design onboarding that requires minimal instruction.
• Collaborate with AR engineers, animation, VFX, audio, character art, and development teams.
• Prototype, play‑test, evaluate, and iterate mechanics based on feedback.
• Help create systems that can expand to seasonal variants and future experiences.

Required profile

• Professional experience as a Game Designer, AR Game Designer, Systems Designer, or Gameplay Designer.
• Experience designing mobile, AR, VR/XR, or location‑based interactive experiences.
• Strong understanding of short‑form gameplay loops, player motivation, progression, reward, difficulty and replayability.
• Ability to translate broad creative ideas into clear mechanics, rules, states and interactions.
• Experience designing gameplay around physical movement, camera‑based interaction, or spatial environments.
