Agentic Software Engineer (GitHub Copilot) – Remote

About the role

FullStack is looking for an Agentic Software Engineer who will join client teams remotely and work side‑by‑side with designers and engineers. The role focuses on leveraging GitHub Copilot as the primary development environment to deliver AI‑accelerated, production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate directly into client development teams and collaborate daily with designers and engineers.
• Use GitHub Copilot to coordinate AI‑driven implementation across large, multi‑file systems while maintaining architectural oversight.
• Deliver production software where AI generates the majority of implementation code.
• Design and refine AI‑first development workflows from specification through deployment.
• Iteratively improve AI‑generated output through structured feedback loops and human‑in‑the‑loop review.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support asynchronous collaboration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of full‑stack architectures (e.g., Java, Python, C#, React, Node.js).
• Extensive experience using GitHub Copilot as a primary development tool.
• Proven track record delivering production software with AI‑generated code.
• Strong context‑engineering skills to produce reliable, AI‑friendly specifications.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with a positive, can‑do attitude.
