About the role

The Quality and Laboratory Assistant will support the Plant Quality and Environment Manager in daily technical and management tasks. The role involves ensuring the proper functioning of the quality management system, supporting laboratory operations, and contributing to food safety initiatives within the industrial complex.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, distribution, monitoring and execution of daily sector tasks and in training plant personnel.
• Maintain the Quality Management System by drafting work instructions, creating documentation, and supporting the implementation and monitoring of standards such as FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001.
• Carry out verification and validation activities defined in HACCP plans and conduct internal plant quality audits.
• Act as the counterpart during external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed.
• Issue certificates of analysis for in‑process and finished products and release inputs and finished goods via SAP.
• Coordinate inter‑laboratory activities and guarantee correct execution of tests.
• Ensure compliance with calibration and verification plans for laboratory and plant equipment.
• Control and verify laboratory records and substitute for the Quality Manager or Environmental Assistant when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Agronomy, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Professional experience in a laboratory environment linked to quality assurance and HACCP development/implementation.
• Completed courses or specializations in BPL, BPM, HACCP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 17025 or other management system standards.
• Availability to work the required schedule and preferably residence near the industrial complex.
