Accounting Assistant – Fund Accounting

About the role

LUYNOCK, a portfolio management firm operating in the financial and capital markets sector, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join its Montevideo‑based team. The role offers exposure to fund accounting processes and the opportunity to develop a career in investments and financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Record accounting entries for financial trades.
• Perform daily reconciliations with custodians, banks and global counterparties.
• Manage and control inter‑account movements.
• Record and analyse capital flows, including subscriptions and redemptions.
• Calculate and monitor administration and performance fees.
• Analyse, calculate and control the Net Asset Value (NAV).
• Prepare reports and financial statements.
• Support month‑end close and audit processes.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, banks and brokers.
• Provide operational and regulatory compliance support.
• Participate in process automation using advanced Excel, Power BI and Python.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or advanced student in Public Accounting.
• 1‑3 years of experience in fund accounting or fund administration.
• Advanced Excel skills (mandatory).
• Strong oral and written English proficiency (mandatory).
• Analytical, organised and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work rigorously with accounting and operational processes.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
