Accounting Analyst Uruguay

About the role

Prex is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team in Montevideo. You will be responsible for managing reconciliations, accounting entries and supporting monthly closing and tax processes in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and record the associated journal entries.
• Analyze balances of agents and suppliers.
• Participate actively in the monthly accounting close.
• Support tax processes, including tax returns, withholdings and related controls.
• Identify and resolve accounting and tax discrepancies.

Required profile

• Student or graduate in Public Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong ability to learn quickly, take initiative and work toward objectives in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (mandatory).
• SQL knowledge (desired).
