Accountant – QuickBooks & US GAAP Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, analytical Accountant with 2‑3 years of experience to join our fully remote finance team. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, support month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensure compliance while communicating with native English‑speaking stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform routine bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, preparing trial balances, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare timely financial statements and reports for management and key stakeholders.
• Identify operational efficiencies and automate accounting workflows to improve productivity.
• Maintain internal controls, resolve accounting discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
• Serve as primary financial point of contact, presenting figures clearly and collaborating with cross‑border teams.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in an international or US‑based environment.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and solid Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Fluent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Self‑starter attitude with high autonomy and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
