Staff Backend For Frontend (Node/Nest.js) Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to design and build high‑performance, enterprise‑grade backend systems that power scalable applications. You will work with Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript to create modular APIs and collaborate closely with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance APIs using Node.js and NestJS.
• Architect scalable, modular backend systems with a focus on performance optimization and caching.
• Build and maintain large‑scale NX monorepos, including shared libraries and complex build configurations.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to design efficient, well‑integrated API interfaces.
• Apply object‑oriented design principles and software architecture patterns to solve complex challenges.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and promote maintainable, scalable solutions.
• Continuously improve backend performance, reliability, and development workflows.

Required profile

• Deep experience building high‑performance, enterprise‑grade APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, including generics, decorators, and asynchronous programming.
• Proven ability to design scalable, modular backend systems and implement caching strategies.
• Experience managing large‑scale NX monorepos.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
