Sr. Frontend Software Engineer (Contractor through Deel)

About the role

Compass is building a collaborative transaction management platform to streamline buying and selling homes. As a senior frontend engineer you will help create tools that let agents focus on clients rather than paperwork.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain features on a high‑quality frontend codebase using React, Typescript and modern web technologies.
• Independently deliver complex tasks, perform code and design reviews, and write comprehensive tests.
• Create clear documentation, diagrams, service descriptions and runbooks.
• Own and continuously improve services throughout their lifecycle.
• Work closely with designers to turn sketches into fully functional, responsive web components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Typescript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and React.
• Proven experience building large‑scale, user‑facing web applications.
• Strong collaboration experience with product, design and engineering teams.
• Practical experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
