Software Engineer – Storage (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in storage to design and maintain high‑performance distributed storage systems. The role is fully remote and involves building resilient, scalable storage layers that support massive data volumes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable distributed storage solutions using C++, Go, or Rust.
• Architect object and file storage systems to ensure high availability and efficient petabyte‑scale data retrieval.
• Optimize data durability and consistency models across distributed environments.
• Develop and manage robust replication strategies to protect against hardware failures and network partitions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate block storage architectures into a cloud‑native ecosystem.
• Profile and tune storage engine internals for maximum throughput.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on storage systems.
• Proven expertise in developing distributed storage solutions using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
• Hands‑on experience with distributed file systems or object stores such as Ceph or MinIO.
• Deep understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.
• Proficiency in building and managing large‑scale block storage architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
