Software AIT Internship

About the role

Satellogic is looking for a motivated Software AIT Intern to join its Assembly, Integration, and Testing team in Montevideo. You will design and maintain Python‑based tools that connect satellite hardware to software, enabling rapid validation of prototypes and production units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Python utilities to communicate with satellite subsystems using CAN, SPI, I2C, UART and Ethernet protocols.
• Assist in building automated test sequences for electronic circuits and satellite prototypes.
• Support the configuration and upkeep of physical test benches, including power supplies, oscilloscopes and data acquisition equipment.
• Contribute to scalable software frameworks that monitor satellite health during production.
• Help ensure test solutions deliver reliable pass/fail feedback in a manufacturing environment.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills for automation and hardware control.
• Solid understanding of electronic circuit fundamentals and ability to read schematics.
• Experience with hardware communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
