Senior Network Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation and operation of a hybrid cloud networking solution that connects on‑premise infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform. The role is fully remote and will run for six months, supporting a fast‑paced technology client that values quality and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain hybrid networking architectures linking on‑premise data centers with GCP.
• Configure and manage GCP networking components such as VPCs, VPNs, Dedicated Interconnect, load balancers and firewall policies.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, DNS, load‑balancing and connectivity issues across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Build and automate networking infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Define secure network segmentation and firewall strategies.
• Improve network reliability, observability and operational efficiency through automation and scripting.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Google Cloud networking services.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP routing, DNS and load balancing concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Solid troubleshooting skills in multi‑layer network environments.
• Good grasp of network security principles.
