Senior Java Engineer – Backend Microservices (FinTech)

About the role

Coderio is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a high‑performance team building complex fintech backend solutions. You will work remotely, collaborating with international partners to design, develop and operate scalable micro‑service applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Integrate asynchronous messaging (Kafka) and ensure resilience through idempotency, circuit breakers, retries and CQRS patterns.
• Deploy, monitor and operate services in production environments on AWS.
• Work with NoSQL data stores and incorporate AI tools to enhance daily workflows.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical leadership within a fintech context.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with production deployment, monitoring and operation of Java applications.
• Strong background in distributed microservice architectures, messaging, and fintech business processes.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent conversational English and residence in Argentina or Uruguay.
