Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

SearchApi is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve its entire cloud stack. You will build, operate, and scale the systems that handle billions of requests daily, while improving observability and expanding infrastructure across new regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain observability (metrics, logging, alerting, dashboards) for the whole platform.
• Architect and run browser‑cloud infrastructure, including containerised browsers, session isolation, crash recovery and autoscaling.
• Manage websocket connections, CDP tunnels and TCP‑level tuning for browser automation.
• Write and maintain Terraform code for all cloud resources.
• Perform capacity planning, cost optimisation and autoscaling tuning.
• Expand infrastructure to additional regions and experiment with serverless solutions.
• Debug production incidents, create disaster‑recovery runbooks and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating large‑scale cloud infrastructure in production.
• Strong architectural mindset; able to design systems, not just maintain them.
• Comfortable working under pressure with minimal hand‑holding.
• Mentorship experience and ability to share best practices.

• AWS services (Fargate, ECS, EKS, RDS Postgres, ElastiCache Redis, VPC)
• Terraform
• Docker and container orchestration
• Ruby on Rails (8.1) and Ruby 3.4
• Linux system administration
• CI/CD pipelines
