Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join Blend’s cloud delivery team. You will help design, build and operate a modern AWS‑based data platform, working closely with the Senior Platform Lead to deliver scalable, secure and observable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK following established patterns.
• Create reusable modules for AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lake Formation, IAM, Step Functions and EventBridge.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, linting and deployments across dev, staging and production.
• Implement monitoring, dashboards and alerting with CloudWatch and other observability tools.
• Manage environment provisioning, release orchestration and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to ensure reliability, scalability and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Broad experience with Amazon Web Services, especially data services.
• Proficiency in Python and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, IAM and cloud governance best practices.
