Senior Database Administrator (DBA) – FinTech

About the role

Coderio is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join the Data Engineering team of a fintech client. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, integrity, and performance of both relational and non‑relational databases that power transactional systems and the data lake.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and tune MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in production.
• Manage, monitor, and scale AWS‑hosted databases, primarily using Amazon RDS.
• Design and implement data migration and replication pipelines with AWS DMS.
• Collaborate on real‑time data streaming solutions using Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
• Perform data validation, integrity checks, and discrepancy analysis between source and analytical stores.
• Define optimal data models and structures for the data lake and satellite systems.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level DBA experience, preferably in fintech or large‑scale corporate environments.
• Strong expertise in MySQL and PostgreSQL administration, query and index tuning.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services, especially RDS and DMS; familiarity with S3, Redshift, Athena is a plus.
• Fluent English (B2 or higher) with excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
