Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Join a growing engineering team supporting a high‑traffic consumer web platform as it migrates its infrastructure to AWS. You will modernise and harden the systems that deliver the platform, build internal tooling that accelerates code delivery—including AI‑driven agents—and support a WordPress‑based site at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Modernise and harden the platform’s AWS infrastructure and services.
• Build internal tooling to speed up engineering workflows, incorporating AI agents into development and operations.
• Maintain and scale a WordPress‑based site serving a large consumer audience.

Required profile

• 8+ years deploying and supporting high‑traffic, scalable web applications.
• 5+ years working in an AWS serverless environment (Cognito, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB).
• Strong TypeScript expertise and hands‑on experience with the AWS CDK.
• Proficient scripting skills (Linux/Unix shell, Python, Ruby or similar).
• Extensive CI/CD experience using native AWS services and third‑party tools.
• Experience defining multi‑account AWS strategies with Amazon Organizations.
• Practical experience with AI coding agents and agentic engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with Spec‑Driven Development for implementation, testing, and AI agent behaviour.

• MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• SCM integration, code quality and testing tools.
• Application and infrastructure monitoring tooling.
• AWS pricing calculator for cost forecasting.
