Regional HR Manager – Americas

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Regional HR Manager to lead its HR function across the Americas. Reporting to the Global Head of HR, you will shape and scale HR operations, partner with senior leaders, and drive people initiatives that support the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and expand the regional HR team, ensuring precise and compliant HR operations.
• Collaborate with the global People team to harmonise processes across all regions.
• Own talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, and culture initiatives.
• Partner with senior managers on performance management, organisational design, employee engagement, rewards and workforce planning.
• Coach and advise managers on employee‑relations issues across multiple countries.
• Support delivery of training and development programmes.
• Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and design new HR policies.
• Represent Canonical at events to communicate HR practices.

Required profile

• Outstanding academic record from high school through university.
• Significant HR experience leading regional initiatives in a technology business.
• People‑management experience and proven business‑partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on execution of daily HR tasks.
