Optical Engineer – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for an optical engineer to join our freelance AI‑training platform. You will create challenging optics problems that mimic real‑world research workflows and help improve AI systems for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original optics problems that are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
• Develop problem statements covering mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics and other physics domains.
• Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics practice.
• Document each problem clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental or computational) or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching or industry.
• Strong written English (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Numerical simulation methods.
• Physics modeling and approximation techniques.
• Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.

What we offer
