Network Security Engineer

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a major global client. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening the client’s infrastructure security and advancing the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC).

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen infrastructure security and actively support CSOC operations.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Develop and implement monitoring use cases, operational procedures, playbooks, and technical documentation.
• Design, develop, and implement security controls to protect network boundaries and sensitive data.
• Harden systems and network devices to improve overall security posture.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Cybersecurity Architecture and cross‑functional teams to implement security solutions.
• Support protection of network traffic with a focus on perimeter security and APIs.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of hands‑on experience in Network Security and Cyber Security.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to address complex security challenges.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional and global teams.

Required skills

• WAF, Firewalls, F5, Imperva
• Network protocols, cryptography, operating systems, security tools
• Understanding of DDoS, credential stuffing, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Incident monitoring and response processes
• SIEM tools such as Splunk
• API security solutions (e.g., SALT API)
• Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, digital identity concepts
• Scripting in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CISSP, SANS, etc.)
