Mid-Level Software Engineer – React & Node.js

About the role

PensionBee is looking for two mid‑level software engineers to help build a world‑class product that simplifies retirement savings for customers in the UK and US. You will join a small, sustainably growing engineering team that works across React, Node.js and mobile technologies, delivering features that directly impact millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhancements for our React + Node.js Capacitor mobile app.
• Collaborate with product and design teams, keeping stakeholders informed about progress, blockers and timelines.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge.
• Manually test developed features to ensure they meet expectations before release.
• Contribute to core initiatives such as building a new B2B portal, creating browser automations, and other product work.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React and Node.js.
• Comfortable working with TypeScript or willing to pick it up quickly.
• Passion for building simple, customer‑focused financial products.
