Lead Data Scientist

About the role

Blend is seeking a Lead Data Scientist with deep expertise in marketing analytics to drive the development of Marketing Mix Models (MMM). The role is client‑facing, operates on U.S. time zones, and supports data‑driven marketing decisions for a fast‑growing AI services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and training of MMM models.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for feature extraction and scoring.
• Validate input and output data to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
• Translate model results into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Prioritize multiple deliverables under tight and shifting deadlines.
• Produce high‑quality presentations that communicate findings effectively.

Required profile

• Strong experience in marketing analytics, preferably with MMM exposure.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders in demanding, fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently while maintaining high performance under pressure.

Required skills

• Python for data analysis, modeling, and statistical work.
• Advanced SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Advanced Excel for data handling and reporting.
