Lead Automation Tester in JS

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester specialized in JavaScript/TypeScript to drive quality across customer‑facing web applications and APIs. You will own the design, implementation and maintenance of automated test suites while collaborating closely with developers in an Agile product team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks and utilities (e.g., WebDriverIO, Selenium).
• Build test coverage for new features and regression scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release pipeline.
• Analyse test failures, investigate root causes and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Review requirements, contribute to test planning and create test cases.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and test‑management tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and share best practices with the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of test‑automation experience for web applications.
• Strong hands‑on skills with JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proficiency in modern automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium.
• Practical experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Deep understanding of software‑testing principles, test design and defect management.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Familiarity with test‑management tools (qTest, TestRail) and cloud‑based execution platforms (LambdaTest).
• Experience testing authentication/authorization APIs and working in Agile teams.
• Strong communication skills and English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
