Jefe/a de Desarrollo y Expansión – Arquitecto/a o Ingeniero/a Civil

About the role

KFC Uruguay is seeking a senior professional to lead the development and expansion of its restaurant network across the country. The role combines strategic planning, project management, and on‑site supervision to turn new location opportunities into operational stores.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of new restaurant openings, from site identification and feasibility studies to construction, commissioning, and inauguration.
• Coordinate with the corporate headquarters, local operations, architects, construction firms, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with international standards.
• Manage tender processes, contract negotiations, budget control, schedule adherence and quality assurance.
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, performance indicators and management reports for senior leadership.
• Supervise a Development and Maintenance team, fostering collaboration and results‑oriented execution.

Required profile

• University degree in Architecture (mandatory) or Civil Engineering with experience in the gastronomy/retail sector.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in project development, expansion and construction management for retail or restaurant chains.
• Intermediate‑advanced spoken and written English.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently throughout Uruguay.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Proven ability to supervise construction works focusing on cost, schedule and quality.
• Experience in bidding processes, budgeting and technical drawing interpretation.
