About the role

CSI is looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to join its Mechanical Engineering team. The professional will work on projects across Uruguay, Latin America and the United States, designing and calculating fire‑protection systems in a BIM environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and hydraulic calculation of sprinkler, hydrant, foam and clean‑agent systems at conceptual, basic and detailed stages.
• Prepare calculation memoranda, technical specifications, drawings and full project documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work within BIM (Revit / Navisworks) and ensure compliance with local (DNB) and international (NFPA) standards.
• Interact technically with clients, authorities and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in fire‑protection system design.
• Proven experience with Uruguayan DNB regulations and NFPA codes (mandatory).
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).

Required skills

• Fire protection system design (sprinklers, hydrants, foam, clean agents).
• Hydraulic calculations for fire‑protection networks.
• BIM tools: Revit and Navisworks.
• Technical specification writing and project documentation.
• Knowledge of Uruguayan DNB standards and NFPA codes.
