Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director will partner with the Head of School and regional HR leadership to drive HR strategy, recruitment, employee relations and compliance for the International College Uruguay campus in Punta del Este.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior school leadership on HR matters, ensuring alignment with Nord Anglia culture and local regulations.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and accurate data entry in SuccessFactors and other HRIS tools.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and management of international assignees, including visa support.
• Manage employee relations, performance management cycles and investigations, fostering a positive work environment.
• Coordinate talent mapping, succession planning and leadership development programmes.
• Drive engagement surveys, analyse results and implement action plans to improve staff satisfaction.
• Conduct compensation benchmarking, review salary structures and ensure compliance with Uruguay labour law.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as an HR Manager or Business Partner, preferably in an educational setting.
• In‑depth knowledge of Uruguay labour legislation and payroll processes.
• Strong analytical ability and experience reporting HR metrics.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills and ability to work with diverse nationalities.
