Fullstack PHP developer (Magento 2 + WordPress) - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a versatile Full Stack PHP developer who will take technical ownership of our clients’ e‑commerce and content platforms. The role focuses on Magento 2 and WordPress, ensuring stability, performance and seamless integration while working remotely for a consultancy serving the US and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise existing Magento 2 installations, addressing technical debt and applying security patches.
• Develop, customise and support WordPress themes and plugins, integrating them with Magento when required.
• Audit, refactor and document legacy codebases across both platforms.
• Implement and tune database queries, caching layers (Redis, Varnish) and search (Elasticsearch) for high‑traffic sites.
• Build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs to connect with ERP, CRM or marketing tools.
• Manage version control (Git), staging‑to‑production workflows and Linux server environments (Nginx/Apache).

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Magento 2.x architecture and WordPress custom development.
• Strong command of modern PHP (8.x) and object‑oriented design.
• Ability to work independently, navigate legacy code and produce clear documentation.
• Security‑first mindset, familiar with PCI compliance and platform hardening.
