Freelance Quantum Research Scientist (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Quantum Research Scientist with strong Python skills to create and validate computational physics problems for AI testing projects. This remote, project‑based role supports leading tech companies in evaluating and improving AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Develop Python‑based problem statements using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and SymPy.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Validate solutions with Python and standard physics simulation libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in research, applied physics, or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).
• Creative thinking and ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
