Elixir Backend Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join a U.S. client’s development team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and engineers to build and maintain robust APIs that power mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Elixir/Phoenix APIs.
• Integrate third‑party services and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams (React Native) to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Maintain and optimise PostgreSQL databases using Ecto.
• Write automated tests and enforce code quality standards.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerisation, and remote development environments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience working on large, complex, and legacy systems.
